Having good lighting is one of the key essentials to creating a good portrait. Not ready to invest in a set of Studio lights and do not want to be limited by natural lighting, this workshop is ideal for intermediate shooters looking to incorporate lighting into their work without investing in formal lighting equipment. Learn from award winning photographer, Sean Lee, the secrets of using off-camera flash to create the ideal lighting for an effective portrait.
In this workshop, Sean will guide you through the theories on lighting, gestures, face and expressions to taking a good portrait. He will also share with you how he directs and uses creative framing to achieve the portraits that he visualises. Participants will also get to learn how to balance daylight with off-camera flashes for outdoor shoots. Sean will also be teaching you how to use colour gels to create different mood and to get a more dramatic or cinematic effect that is not always possible with natural lighting.
